Tips & Tricks
Removing Fat Stains
- 1Step one
Pre-treat your clothing item with Surf Powder by rubbing a small measure of detergent onto the stain. Allow garment to sit for up to 15 minutes.
- 2Step two
Using cool water, rinse the stain. Ensure the water runs from the back of the stain to the front of the stain, so that the grease is leaving the clothing.
- 3Step three
Check the item label before washing as normal. Allow to dry naturally.
For Soiled Surfaces
For soiled surfaces in the bathroom, like mould or mildew in the shower or stained toilets, and in the kitchen, like stained tiles and grouting, we recommend squeezing a small amount of the thick bleach neat directly to the soiled area. Leave the bleach on for a few minutes and then wash it off. Proceed to follow the next suggestion, for mild cleaning, after that.
For Mild Cleaning
For a general, hygienic clean of bathrooms, toilets, showers, and other suitable surfaces, it is wise to dilute the bleach in a bucket of warm water. We recommend ½ to ¾ cup of bleach to 5L of water. Using a good quality mop or cloth, simply wash the area with the water and bleach and leave to dry.
How to get fresh coffee stains out of a carpet
- 1Step one
Absorb as much excess liquid as possible by dabbing the fresh coffee stain with a clean cloth. Dampen a clean cloth with cold water and dab the stain. Do not rub.
- 2Step two
If the stain continues to be visible, apply a little dishwashing liquid like Surf Dish Washing Liquid to it and repeat dabbing process. Rinse by dabbing the area with cold water again.
- 3Step three
Allow the carpet to dry naturally. You can help avoid damp smells by dabbing it with a dry cloth to remove excess water from the fibres.
